~Jio World Garden witnessed 100+ Spirits and Wine Labels, 7 Experience Zones, and 3000+ Visitors.~

Asia’s premier craft drinks event, The Vault Festival, witnessed an  unparalleled third edition at Jio World Garden Mumbai on the weekend of February 17 and 18, 2024. Fine  spirit sips, curated wine, multi-sensorial experience venues, short-serve cocktails and a gourmet food  lineup – visitors had the opportunity to indulge in a grand selection of unique boutique labels. Over 15  Whiskies, 15+ Gins, 4 Rums, 3 Vodkas, 6 Tequilas, 10 Sakes, 4 Wines and 2 Craft Beers made their presence felt.

Celebrating its four signature pillars – Taste, Discover, Listen, and Indulge, the festival played host to seven  key experience zones. The Pursuit of Smoke, an experiential venue that transported visitors to the heart  of whisky production, at Islay, Scotland was a crowd favourite. Dedicated sections ‘Tequila Talks’, featured  never-seen-before flavoured tequilas and mezcals, while ‘Saké Stories’ heralded by Maaya Takaoka, pursued the new-age drinkers’ ability to discover and hone rare Japanese spirits. The two-day evening  sundowner was filled with curated segments such as The UK Craft Pavilion, The Wine Pavilion, The Craft  Beer Section, and segments dedicated to Rum, Gin, Whisky, and Vodka across international and Indian  labels.

While the night ended with peppy, high-octane jazz funk beats by popular Goan bands Sambucada and  Mūjo, the audience was treated to a range of expert-led masterclasses, namely ‘No Snob Wine Society’ and ‘DIY Mixology’ – which allowed enthusiasts to make their own cocktails with CounterTop Labs Goa. Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters hosted a Cupping Workshop with an exclusive spirit-coffee menu, while Sucre  des Terres whipped up three limited whisky-, vodka- and gin-based artisanal ice-creams which were  exclusively available at the event. Conversations with whisky connoisseur Krishna Nukkala allowed a select  few to discover the Indian Single Malt Story with Paul John and Amrut whiskies as the ‘bookends’. Sidecar  (Ranked #1 by 30BestBarsIndia) hosted a cocktail flight pop-up of their signature award-winning mixes,  opening a range of flavorful combinations this weekend.

Speaking on the occasion, Keshav Prakash, Founder and Curator of The Vault Festival, said, “With yet  another successful festival this year, we are happy to be pioneers of the ‘slow-drink’ movement. We are  glad to open the doors to India’s evolving fine life community and ignite their passion for fine drinks with  our curated selection of 100+ labels. Our commitment to providing an experiential platform that brings  like-minded connoisseurs, explorers, and curiosity-driven consumers is testament to the takeaways and  conversations this edition witnessed. The limited-availability sit-down experiences organised exclusively at  the festival turned out to be a massive success. It was an absolute pleasure to bring such immersive  curations to the ever-growing spirit culture in the country!”

The Culinary Lounge played host to an array of exclusive menus curated by Gourmet Tales Co. Pop-ups  like The House of Mala, Kaavo, Sliders & Fries, Aglio Pizzeria and Deli, Kofuku & Hengbok, Cafe Panama,  and Tru Falafel, provided a diverse and delectable dining experience for guests. The House of Grouse  provided visitors with a personalised souvenir to mark their experience at The Vault Festival 2024.
