Himmaleh Spirits, producers of Kumaon & I, India’s first provincial dry gin and Bandarful cold brew coffee liqueur has been awarded as the best Visitor Attraction/ Single  Estate Category of The Year at the Icons of Gin India event held at New Delhi recently. This is a significant milestone positioning the newly opened Himmaleh Spirits distillery as the best space in the country to learn about and go on a tasting journey with a variety of finely crafted spirits from the  Himmaleh Spirits portfolio. 

Nestled amidst the Himalayan foothills and spread over four acres, Himmaleh Distillery houses a  one-of-a-kind 1000-litre Hungarian Copper pot still from the world’s most technologically advanced still maker, a tasting room, and several viewing decks. Designed with a functional and minimalist approach, the distillery incorporates locally sourced river stones, crafted by artisans from the region.

About the Products 

Kumaon & I – An all-natural Himalayan dry gin crafted from fresh Himalayan spring water, Kumaon & I embody a distinctive selection of 11 regional botanicals, meticulously slow distilled at the source  to extract maximum flavor and lend a distinct texture to the spirit. Boasting an unparalleled earthy  essence, Kumaon & I is crafted from a unique Himalayan Juniper, Timur, a berry-like Szechuan pepper  that infuses a delightful fusion of fruitiness and spice, and Black Turmeric, cultivated at an impressive altitude of over 10,000 feet, endowing it with an extended growth cycle and a richly concentrated  flavor. It is complemented by coriander seeds and two distinct citrus fruits – Galgal, a local citrus  variety, and Kinu, which introduce nuanced sweet undertones.  

The gin is currently available across six states in India such Uttarakhand, Goa, Maharashtra,  Karnataka, Rajasthan, and Haryana (Gurgaon). Soon, they will also be launching the gin in Delhi market. 

Bandarful – An artisanal cold-brew coffee liqueur that’s all about wild adventures, lively spirits, and  a tribute to our long-tailed Langur friends from the heart of Kumaon. Fully brewed (for over 22 hours) and blended in-house, Bandarful is a caffeine party for your palette with wildly expressive and vivid  flavors. Made with hyperlocal rice, Himalayan spring water, and medium dark single estate Arabica  coffee beans from Chikmagalur, every bottle is a wild celebration of India’s diverse terroir. 

Packed in a flint-clear glass bottle with a bar-top neck finish, Bandarful can be enjoyed on the rocks  or neat, shaken up in a cocktail, savored as a dessert or sipped as a digestif.
